Direct Mail Marketing

Get The Most Out Of Direct Mail

Direct Mail Marketing
If you own a home based business or you are an online network  marketer, it is probable that you have at one time or another considered  the funds required for, and the success rate for a direct mail  campaign. Continue reading and I will let you in on a few direct mail  marketing statistics that will aid your determination if this is a  positive move for you and your operation.
Return on Investment

While the monetary outlay for a direct mail marketing campaign may at  the outset appear to be costly, you need to look at the big picture and  regard your overall return. If you circulate a 1,000 adverts and  receive 25 leads to follow up, how would that affect your business?
When you consider that for many network marketing businesses just one  lead could possibly pay for the outlay, the direct mail marketing  statistics start to look much better. By working out the least amount of  leads you will require to make the outlay value for money you will be  capable of making a more educated conclusion on whether to go ahead with  a bulk mail campaign or not.
Costs of Direct Mail Marketing
To start off you will probably want to obtain a targeted mailing  list. Direct mailing list brokers will be able to supply you will these  lists. For each 1,000 addresses, you could look to payout in the range  between US 20 dollars to US 200 dollars. Remember, as just like when you  buy merchandise, you can expect to pay more for a better list.
The more superior quality of the mailing list, the greater your  possibilities for a better return. This is not the item to save money  on. Ascertain your particular demographic and make inquiries for cost  approximations from various list brokers. Also see if those in your  network can advise you of a list broker.
The next element in working out your costing will involve the  printing of the flier. To lower the price in this issue, and to in the  end reduce costs on postage as well, create a comparatively brief,  flowing and pertinent ad then get a few quotes for printing. Color,  shine and the type of paper you decide on will be involved in deciding  how much it will cost you.
Lastly, the postage prices which will probably be the biggest outlay  of the project. Seek out the lowered cost bundles the postal service  provides for direct mail campaigns. Postage can be priced as low as 0.13  cents per envelope.
Campaign Goals
The direct mail marketing statistics may seem a big outlay at first,  and it will use a lump sum from of your  budget. At the same  this will be a very profitable system of marketing for small  operations today. Decide on your goals and build an advertising fund by  putting an amount away on a regular basis to pay for your campaign.  Question those around you to discover what works and what doesn't for  other people and good luck!

Free Online Marketing tips

As a home based business owner I am a firm believer that the best type of marketing is always free marketing. You don’t have to spend a ton of money on newspaper ads or commercials on the local radio station to have a huge amount of leads for you home based business every single month. In fact, you can get all the leads you want without spending any money on marketing at all.

The internet is the best invention of all time for the home based business owner because it allows you to market like a pro without breaking the bank.

If you’re new to internet marketing let me start at the very beginning. The first thing you’ll need to successfully market your opportunity online is a website. Many home based businesses offer websites to their business owners. However, it is most effective if you use a website you make yourself. It doesn’t have to be flashy or complicated just a simple site. But here is the key, it has to capture a name and email address.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “the money is in the list” right? Well it’s true. By capturing your prospects name and email address when they visit your site you will have the opportunity to market to them for days, weeks and months to come.

If you don’t capture their information you run the risk of losing their business forever. So don’t make that mistake.

Once you have your website set up it’s all about marketing that website online. You can have the greatest website in the world but if nobody knows about it it doesn’t do you any good right?

A good place marketing your website is on a social networking site like Myspace.com.

Myspace is extremely popular with teenagers and young adults but many, many home based business owners benefit from it as well. Myspace is simply a great place to meet people and best of all it’s absolutely free to use so you can’t lose. Even if you make a mistake or two in the beginning it’s not like you’ve wasted any money. Just correct it and move on.

Forums are another great place to market your business online. Simply do a google search for “home based business forum” or “mlm forum” and you’ll find a ton of them! Forums are a great place to meet people who want to work from home as network with people who already do, and just like Myspace forum marketing is free!

Video marketing is also extremely popular right now and sites like Youtube.com make it super easy. Just shoot a simple video and upload it for free on Youtube. There are also lots and lots of other video websites out there so you get lots of traffic out of just one or two videos.

Another great form of online marketing is article marketing. (Hey you’re reading an article right now so I guess it works!)

Article directories are free to post on and you don’t have to be an established author or an English major to benefit from it.

Finally, if you really want to get as many people to check out your website as possible you can’t go wrong with free advertising sites like Craigslist.com or Backpage.com these sites are free to post on and will get you a ton of visits to your website. Just remember that unlike posting an ad in the newspaper you’ll need to post on online advertising sites several times a week to get the most out of it.

Free online marketing is an awesome thing. Do your research and learn how to get the most out of the different techniques that I’ve talked about in this article and you’ll be generating more prospects than you can handle!
