A lot of people in a home based business want to start at the beginning of their journey and hop straight to the end! But what we forget is that the steps in between A-Z are important and they can give others a whole lot of inspiration. That’s why it’s so important to be real and chronicle our home based business journey both good and bad! Here is why!
1. It can help people!
When you go to a home based business meeting as a new person or prospect and you can tend to look at all of those success stories as a little unbelievable. After all, there are only so many stories you can hear about someone being dead broke and now being incredibly rich before you start to believe that A) these stories can’t be real or B) I could never do anything like that!
When you leave out the middle part of your testimony you leave out a whole lot! People need to know that you’re a human being. They need to know that you struggled, that you doubted yourself, that you thought about quitting at times. It is stories like that that make where you ended up that much more impressive and real!
People will look at your story and say. Hey, if this person doubted themselves but still made $100,000 a year so can I!
By being honest about all the things that happened during your journey to success you’ll stop being a testimony and start being a real person and that will really inspire people!
2. It can help you!
Along with helping others with your story you can also help yourself by chronicling your journey to success. Being able to look back to where you started will help you see how far you’ve really come! Even if you’re not at your goal yet you’ll be able to see all the bumps in the road you’ve encountered and how you’ve been able to overcome each and every one of them!
3. It keeps things in perspective!
Now lets jump ahead to when you’ve reached your ultimate goal and you’re incredibly successful (because you know you’re gonna get there!) Having your story written out for you to look at will help you help others who might be going through the same struggles that you already conquered. Sometimes when we reach our goals we forget how hard it is when someone is still trying to do so. This will help you keep things in perspective and remember just how hard it was when you were trying to reach all of your goals! It will help you be a much better team leader.
